For those that attended we hope you all have had a great start to your first day of the challenge. It was great to have met most of you last night at the launch party. For those of you who didn’t have a chance to join us last night, I hope you’ll stay focused and strong throughout this challenge. It is a very pleasing result to have close to 50 applicants participating in this challenge. Being the second year of World Health Store holding this event, I am very happy to see so many people taking the first step to a healthier lifestyle. For whatever reason you have entered this challenge, you deserve a big pat on your back! You have decided to make a change, so I hope you will stay motivated throughout the 12 weeks. Stick to your plan and get to the goal you are wishing to achieve!
Talking about plans and goals! This should be something you have already thought of by now. If not, please take out a note pad, write down your goal in CAPITAL LETTERS! Underneath it, write down in point form, what you are going to do to achieve that goal. What you will be doing for your diet? Your fitness training? How often will you be doing this? Make sure when you are writing these down, that they are realistic and achievable. Think of your current lifestyle and other commitments. Most people when they do not end up sticking to their plan, is because the goals are not realistic so they end up giving up. Think about also when you achieve your goal in 12 weeks, will they be sustainable? Although this is a 12 week challenge, you have made a choice to change, so it should be a life time change, not just for 12 weeks! I am no gym junkie and I do not starve myself or miss out on the fun stuff, but I am conscious of what I eat and stick to a regular exercise routine. I think about what I am putting in my mouth and what the food will do for me. Food should give you energy and not make you feel lethargic after you have a meal. When I exercise I always look forward to the buzz I get afterwards, and the toxins that are coming out through sweat. Not to mention the energy and strength you get as you test yourself each time you exercise. So this is what works for me. Now you will have to think for yourself, what works for you?
